2001 : A Space Odyssey.
Le Festival international du film de Beyrouth démarre le mercredi 3 octobre aux cinémas Planète Abraj. C’est l’œuvre de Lara Saba, « Ossat Sawani » (Blind Intersections), qui donne le coup d’envoi à ce festival qui, cette année, met l’accent sur les grands classiques, comme les films de Stanley Kubrick, mais offre à voir aussi un florilège de films contemporains, comme « Le Havre » d’Aki Kaurismaki. Toutes ces œuvres côtoient, bien entendu, la production des jeunes cinéastes libanais qui n’en finissent pas de nous étonner. Le festival prendra fin avec « The Looper »
