Invitation for Prequalification
Design of Idlin Noura el-Tahta Dam on Nahr el-Kabir el-Janoubi
Based on the agreement between the Ministry of Irrigation in the Arab Republic of Syria and the Ministry of Energy and Water in the Republic of Lebanon, the General Directorate of Hydraulic and Electric Resources of the Ministry of Energy and Water in the Republic of Lebanon is issuing this Invitation for Prequalification of consulting firms towards the design of Idlin Noura el-Tahta Dam on Nahr el-Kabir el-Janoubi, according to the following preliminary specifications :
(i) Rock-fill dam with a storage capacity of approximately 70 MCM.
(ii) Height of approximately 80 meters
(iii) Watershed area at the suggested dam site is approximately 550 km2.
Applicants may obtain the detailed advertisement for prequalification by facsimileing or sending a representative to the secretariat of the General Directorate of Hydraulic and Electric Resources of the Ministry of Energy and Water at the following address :
