The Reprieve

Dear reader,

Once again, we are glued to our screens for Nasrallah’s speech. Once again, we are holding our breath, wondering whether we are going to be dragged into a war or if we are going to get a reprieve.

Meanwhile, people in the South are not getting a reprieve, people in Dahiyeh are not getting a reprieve, people in Iran did not get a reprieve, and more prosaically, people in Karantina, Beirut, who got their homes and businesses flooded two weeks ago and are maganing the repairs all by themselves, did not get a reprieve.

We still hope, dear readers, that you managed to get a reprieve from all the gloomy headlines during the end of year holidays, and that you were able to recharge your batteries to face ahead 2024, whatever is in store for us.
