On Nov. 27 2024, a temporary cease-fire between Hezbollah and Israel came into effect. After the opening by Hezbollah, in October 2023, of a ‘support front’ to Hamas, Lebanon became the scene of a major conflict between Israel and Hezbollah throughout 2024. From September onwards, the conflict escalated into intensive bombing raids against southern Lebanon, Beirut’s southern suburbs and the Bekaa, an Israeli ground offensive as well as the elimination of many of the party's leaders, starting with its Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah. We are following developments on the ground and the fulfilment, or not, of the conditions set out in the cease-fire agreement.
