On March 31, during Eid al-Fitr celebrations, Syria’s new first lady, Latifa al-Droubi, accompanied her husband, Ahmad al-Sharaa, who has served as Syria’s interim president since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime on Dec. 8, 2024. This was her third public appearance.She was previously seen during an official visit to Saudi Arabia, where the Syrian first couple performed Umrah, a voluntary Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca.
