A mild earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale was felt Wednesday evening in several parts of Lebanon, according to the Seismological Center of Europe and the Mediterranean.
This latest quake follows the deadly earthquake that occurred Monday in Turkey, which also shook Lebanon but didn't cause any casualties or injuries.
According to the seismological center, the epicenter is located in the region of Aarsal, in northeastern Lebanon, near the Syrian border.
According to L'Orient Today's correspondent in the South, the tremor was felt in the city of Saida. Residents of the North also felt the quake, according to L'Orient Today's correspondent in the region.
Several reports of tremors were also reported by residents of Beirut, Mount Lebanon and Baalbek. According to the seismological center, the tremor was also felt in Syria.
Monday's deadly earthquake killed more than 11,000 people in Turkey and Syria, according to the latest available count. Six Lebanese in those countries died in the disaster.
