BEIRUT — An infant was injured during armed clashes Saturday in the eastern Bekaa village of Tfail, situated near Lebanon’s border with Syria, according to our sister publication L’Orient-Le Jour.
Here's what we know:
• The infant was injured during the clashes which pitted residents of the village against unidentified armed men, L’Orient-Le Jour’s correspondent in the Bekaa said.
• The state-operated National News Agency said that the child suffered a gunshot wound.
• The fighting Saturday is the latest security incident in the village. In January, armed men opened fire on several homes as well as local water and electricity distribution facilities.
