Gas leak causes blast at Beirut restaurant; no injuries reported: ISF

A gas leak caused an explosion Saturday morning at the AMI restaurant in the Beirut Souks in Downtown, a spokesperson for the Internal Security Forces (ISF) told L'Orient-Le Jour, adding that there were no injuries in the blast.

According to some local media outlets reporting on the explosion, the restaurant "is new and was preparing to open its doors" to customers. The ISF could not confirm this information.
